Do you serve food?

For the moment we’ll just be serving small bar snacks like crisps and nuts. We’ve got a stone-baked pizza oven and will let you all know once we’re ready to roll on that front.

Are there gigs and events?

Gigs and events are definitely in the pipeline and we’re in talks to get various people booked in. As soon as anything is confirmed, we’ll add the date and info to our Calendar and as an Event on our Facebook page.

Is it dog friendly?

Absolutely. They are anyone-who-identifies-as-human’s best friend, after all. Well-behaved dogs are welcome both inside the pub and in our patio area outside. Please keep them on a lead and keep them out of mischief…

Is there outside space?

We’ve repainted and modernised the pub’s side alley and paved rear patio area. There’s festoon lighting and bench seating, and smoking and vaping are allowed.

Is it family friendly?

Although we have a family-friendly ethos, The Lifeboat’s current Licence does not allow anyone under the age of 14 on the premises. We may look to revisit this as things progress but, for now, it’s accompanied over-14s only.

Can I smoke or vape?

You can smoke and vape outside in the paved patio area. Please be considerate of others. There is no smoking or vaping permitted indoors.

Do I have to wear a mask?

There will be no checking of Covid-19 vaccine status and you do not have to wear a mask (though you are welcome to do so). The Lifeboat will always follow governmental guidance so, should the mask situation change, we’ll update this section and share the news on our Facebook page. Please be respectful of any individual’s choices and respect people’s social distance.

Do you have board games?

We don’t have any boardgames as yet though there will be table skittles.

Do you offer any discounts?

We are looking into offering a discounted rate outside of key business hours, likely at off-peak times from Monday to Wednesday. Watch this space.

Do you have any job vacancies?

We don’t have any jobs going at the moment, but things can change quickly. If interested in working at The Lifeboat should any vacancies arise, please drop us your CV with a brief cover email. We’ll get back to you if anything suitable comes up.
